 I am a Development Project Management expert with 2 decades of experience in full-cycle development programmes implementations & consultancies. I have been working with marginalized, governance, youth and women empowerment, education (learning outcome, adult learning, financial literacy, education management, OSC survey, inclusive education, girl’s child education drive, in-service and pre-service etc) social sector budget analysis and tracking, PEA analysis, project inception, planning to execution, sustainability and project close out, whereas ensuring project activities comply with timeline, activity budget, and project scoping. I have coordinated several development programmes targeted at improving quality service delivery through engaging Governance and policy compliance. I have facilitated several gender and social inclusion training and programs as well as maintained and built healthy partnership and stakeholder relationships as open to managerial and executive positions in project management. I have a MA Degree in Development Studies. I always re-assure commitments showing myself to be self-motivated, organized, and capable of working under pressure. I enjoy working on my own initiative or in a team and Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Currently, I am working with Partnership for Learning for All in Nigeria (PLANE) as Senior Program Officer based in Abuja. PLANE is a project funded by the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). PLANE is an 8-year project (2020-2028) that strengthens education systems to improve foundational skills in reading and math for children in the primary grades. PLANE’s focal states are Kano, Kaduna and Jigawa, with limited interventions in other parts of Nigeria. PLANE is to directly support improved learning for an estimated 1.5 million children in Kano, Kaduna and Jigawa states (KKJ). As Senior Programme Officer am providing support in program coordination in 3 states field offices. I was a staff of Mercy Corps Nigeria as Senior Programme Officer Policy and Governance 2017 - 2020. Previously worked for RTI-LEAD-USAID Governance project in Sokoto as Governance Program Coordinator for 4 years, to MNCH2/DFID Zamfara State Office as State Accountability Coordinator, previously worked for SAVI a DFID UK funded Governance project for a year, I was a State Team Leader (Heading a project leadership development position dealing with Programme (Grant Management for Civil Society Partner, Media and Training of Kano state House Members and Staff), Operations, Finance, Procurements and Administration) since September 2014. I have worked for (Mott MacDonald) Education Sector Support Programme in Nigeria, (ESSPIN) an educational support project funded by DFID UK as Access and Equity Specialist (Promoted Gender based development process, Inclusiveness in Jigawa State Education System, promoted improvement in Girl's child Education and Integrated education in 27 LGAs of Jigawa state. My various works on developmental projects has broadened my knowledge of planning the development and reinforcement of Organizational strategies, structures and processes to improve the organizations effectiveness, working with diverse stakeholders such as the Legislature, the Executive, Media and the Civil Society has improved my ability to manage relationships with various state ministries and traditional and religious leaders and improved my ability to engage critical stakeholders on sensitive development issues such as access to education, participatory governance, budget transparency and accountability. Senior Program Officer/Output 1 Program Manager, 01/2022 to Current

Partnership for Learning for All in Nigeria (PLANE) is a project funded by the UK Foreign Commonwealth
and Development Office (FCDO), formerly known as the UK Department for International Development
(DFID). PLANE is a 7-year project (2020-2027) that strengthens education systems to improve foundational skills in reading and math for children in the primary grades. PLANE's focal states are Kano, Kaduna and Jigawa, with limited interventions in other parts of Nigeria. PLANE is to directly support improved learning for an estimated 1.5 million children in Kano, Kaduna and Jigawa states (KKJ) and support state and non-state systems benefitting 8,000,000 children nationally. The service provider will be expected to provide appropriate technical and other expertise, goods and materials to enable - delivery of more focused teaching and learning, better managed state and non-state systems and use of evidence and effective communication to deliver improved performance in state and non-state systems. The position will work under the supervision of the Output 1 FHI360 Technical Director, the Senior Programme Officer will provide support in coordinating program activities of the field offices.

Open Government Partnership (OGP) initiative aimed at ensuring public engagement in some identified areas for socio-economic development of the state. One of the cardinal principles of this administration is to ensure openness through implementation of transparent policies and programs that will positively impact on the lives of the citizenry. The Kano state OGP immediately re-invigorated the State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) and transformed the state Projects Monitoring Bureau to Due Process Bureau with the sole objective of laying suitable platform for the new Government to operate with the principles of transparency and accountability.

Educating Nigerian Girls in New Enterprises (ENGINE) II Project DFID

·   Successfully collaborated with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team, 47 partners staff and field facilitators and oversees ENGINE implementation processes and effective for sub-grantee partners.

·   Worked with 4 sub grantees and Provides field support to Education Nigerian Girls in New Enterprises ENGINEII

·   Coordinated sub-grantee activities during Teacher development days, preservice, skills and income generation activities, community mobilization/engagement, advocacies to government officials etc.

·   Effectively managed opportunities for networking within pilot community education centers and 35 girls secondary schools, and 61 out-of-school community learning centers. More so, increased target girls' economic assets through very low-interest loan access from microfinance banks using 120 savings clubs.

Maternal Newborn & Child Health (MNCH) 2 project DFID, Options Zamfara, Nigeria

·   Strengthened health accountability systems by ensuring government and service providers deliver
health quality services through public engagement.

·   Strengthened capacity of over 500 community leaders and marginalized groups, including women and youth for their involvement in monitoring and supporting primary health care facilities in Zamfara state.

·   Worked with local CSOs, Accountability Mechanisms and local government officials to enforce a localized accountability system to improve health service delivery across 14 local governments of Zamfara state.

·   Established 50 accountability mechanisms in 14 local governments, including Zamfara.

·   Led and supervised community engagement, worked with local health facility committee, and monitored the implementation of the project COMPASS-USAID polio eradication activities and immunization days implementations.

·   Facilitated community involvement and micro-planning meetings with HoDs Primary
healthcare and immunization managers.
